Comparison

tiero vs Trackr: which one actually fits you

Trackr and tiero get compared because both have the word tracker attached, but they solve opposite halves of the problem. Trackr tells you when a programme opens. tiero helps you with what happens after you apply to it.

If you are in finance, law or tech and you are choosing one, the honest answer is that you probably want both, and neither replaces the other.

The short answer

Trackr is a live directory of opening dates for top student and graduate programmes, split by market: UK finance, UK technology, UK law, North America finance and Europe. Its paid tier sends instant alerts when a role opens, on the theory that rolling recruitment rewards applying early. It does not manage your own applications, write anything, or prepare you for interviews. tiero is the other half: a personal pipeline for the applications you have already made, plus practice for application questions, video interviews, assessment centres and final rounds. Trackr answers "what is open right now". tiero answers "how do I not fall over at the assessment centre". Using both is normal.

Trackr is the better fit if

  • You are targeting investment banking, law or tech and want to know the moment applications open.
  • You are applying to rolling-deadline programmes where being early genuinely matters.
  • You want a community of people chasing the same handful of firms.
  • You have not applied to anything yet and need to find what is out there.

tiero is the better fit if

  • You already know what you are applying to and need to keep on top of it.
  • The written questions and the assessed stages are where your time goes.
  • You keep reaching assessment centres or final rounds and not converting them.
  • Your target sectors are outside finance, law and tech.
  • You want practice rather than alerts.

Common questions

Is Trackr an alternative to tiero?
Not really. Trackr is a directory of when graduate programmes open, with a paid alert service on top. tiero is a workspace for the applications you have already started, plus practice for the stages after you apply. They sit at different points in the same journey, so most people using one would get value from the other.
Does tiero tell me when applications open?
No. tiero has no job board and no opening alerts. If being first to apply matters for your sector, Trackr or a similar alerts product does that job better than anything tiero offers, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Does Trackr help with interviews or assessment centres?
Trackr offers a paid CV review service and runs an academy and blog, but it does not run interview practice, assessment centre exercises or final round simulation. That is the gap tiero fills.
How much does Trackr cost compared to tiero?
As of August 2026, Trackr's trackers are free to browse and Trackr Premium alerts start from £30 for a UK opportunity type, with each additional type charged separately, and access expiring at the end of the cycle. North America and Europe are priced separately as one-off payments. tiero is free to start, with a paid plan that raises how many applications you can run at once rather than unlocking features.
Can I use Trackr and tiero together?
Yes, and it is probably the best use of both. Find and time your applications with Trackr, then run and prepare for them in tiero. Neither one duplicates the other.
