Yes, tiero is free. Here is what that means

tiero is free to start with the whole journey, 25 new applications a month and a monthly AI allowance. Here is what the allowance covers, how far it goes, and what happens when it runs out.

tiero is free to start. The free plan covers the whole journey, 25 new applications a month, and a monthly allowance of AI help. Pro is £4.99 a month, removes both limits and adds Writing style.

That is the short answer. The allowance is the part people ask about, and "a monthly allowance" on its own tells you very little, so here is the longer one.

What do you get on the free plan?

The whole journey. The tracker, Discover, cover letters, application questions, and practice for the video interview, the assessment centre and the final interview. The one thing that is Pro only is Writing style, which learns how you write from your old cover letters so new drafts sound like you.

Two things are limited. You can add 25 new applications a month, counting roles you save from Discover (the demo application in the guided tour does not count), and the AI runs on a monthly allowance. Deleting or closing an application does not free up a slot; the count starts again on the 1st.

What is the AI allowance?

Whenever tiero asks a model to do something for you, like drafting a cover letter, reading an application question or marking a mock interview answer, that call costs real money. The allowance is a monthly ceiling on that cost.

It is measured in what the calls actually cost, worked out from how much text went in and came out, not in credits we made up. A short call uses less than a long one. A call that fails uses nothing, because only the ones that succeed come off your allowance.

How many applications is that?

Roughly eight to fifteen complete applications a month, depending on how much you lean on it. Those are estimates from how the calls cost in practice, not a promise.

Assessment centre materials and mock interviews cost more than the form stage. If you use every stage of an application and the calls run long, it comes down to nearer six.

Can you see how much is left?

Yes. A bar in your profile menu and on the subscription page shows the percentage you have left and the date it resets.

It shows a percentage, not a price, on purpose. Put a cost next to every click and people start rationing themselves, and the free plan exists so you use the product. Pro users never see the bar, because nothing is counted for them.

When does it reset, and what happens when it runs out?

It resets at the start of each calendar month. When you hit zero, the AI pauses and you see a message saying you have used this month's AI.

Everything else keeps working. The tracker, your notes, your exports, and every cover letter or answer tiero has already written for you stay exactly where they are. Nothing is deleted or locked. You can wait for the reset or upgrade.

What does Pro change?

Applications become unlimited, the AI is never metered, and Writing style switches on: you add your old cover letters and tiero learns how you write. It costs £4.99 a month and you can cancel any time from your account. When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the billing period, then go back to the free plan, and nothing you made is deleted.

Pro is meant for one person's job search. If usage looks automated, shared between people, or far beyond what one applicant could reasonably generate, we will contact you before applying any limit.

There is no free trial of Pro, since the free plan already covers the whole journey.

Is there a per-application charge, or a card at sign-up?

No to both. Some tools in this space charge a subscription plus credits for each application you send. tiero does not charge per application, and you do not need a card to sign up.

We recently changed how the free plan works. Nobody gets a cut-down version of the journey any more. Every stage is on the free plan, and the thing that runs out is the AI. If you want to see how far the allowance goes for your own search, you can start free.
